We took part in Street Arts Summit. The Summit is a part of the first forum on the Arctic cultural policy and was initiated by Festspillene i Nord-Norge and supported by Arts Council Norway and Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs. The Summit was also attended by representatives from the Russian North, from the Ministry of Culture in Arkhangelsk region and the Committee of Culture in Murmansk region. Unfortunately, we did not meet many artists and galleries from the Russian North, but we met representatives from Moscow Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art who had a talk about their collection of the famous Kholmogory bone carving from the North.
Still, it was an enriching experience. We were inspired to collaborate with such engaged team as Arktisk Graffiti and Rampestrek, contribute to the discussion of the concept and help in the communication.
Thanks for the invitation! Looking forward to the next meeting in Rovaniemi.
