Boris Gagarin has background in architecture and has recently started to work with painting. His small scale works reflect the monster-like reality of the post-Soviet Northern towns which find themselves in painful transitions from the plan to the market economy, where the reality is already surrealistic enough and there is no need to invent any, just to pick up from what you have around at the chaotic streets and the reality with no logic.
Boris has taken part in exhibitions in Arkhangelsk and Moscow. The portfolio of one of his projects can be found attached. He works with architecture and engineering daily.
